Perimeter Footer Types  Monolithic Turned Down Footer-Single Pour Construction, Footings and Slab are poured all at once. 2-Pour With Grade Beam-The footings are poured on one day then the slab is poured on another day thus allowing a cold joint to form. Floating Slab With Stem Wall-Here the slab is allowed to float independent of the footings and perimeter footer. This is typical where soil conditions are unfavorable and the potentional for settlement is high. This method is usually requested by the geotechnical engineers. Floating Slab With Stem Wall And Footing-This is common in the north east. Usually reserved for deep frost situations. Also used for load bearing wall conditions such as concrete tilt-up or high CMU walls.
